IP-5 (renewed) with no-break power function ensures:
- conversion of trolley system voltage into DC voltage 24V;
- independent power supply of on-board V-network 24V during the period up to 40 sec. after pantograph bouncing;
- short circuit protection;
- peak overvoltage protection at input;
- blackout of block from the trolley system under voltage lower 130V and over 420V;
- overvoltage protection at input;
- overtemperature protection.
